Adil Usman, MD
Dr. Usman graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City. After doing an internship in Internal Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, he completed his dermatology residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he served his last year as Chief Resident.

Amor Khachemoune, MD
Dr. Khachemoune attended Medical school at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and had subsequent general and cosmetic dermatology training in France. After moving to the U.S., Dr. Khachemoune did his dermatology residency training at Georgetown University, where he also served as Chief Resident in his last year. His subspecialty fellowship training included wound healing at Boston University, laser surgery at Harvard, Dermatopathology and Mohs micrographic surgery at the State University of New York.

Dr. Amir Zahir earned his undergraduate degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland. He subsequently attained his medical degree and dermatology residency training from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Stephen H. Flax, MD
Dr. Flax was born and raised in Upstate New York. He attended Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated with University Honors. He subsequently went to medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. After graduating, he completed an internal medicine internship and residency at State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. Next, he practiced internal medicine for 6 years in the United States Navy. He then completed a dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center.

Darci Swiger, PA-C
Darci Swiger is a board certified Physician Assistant who has over 16 years of experience in general and pediatric dermatology. She earned a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Alderson-Broaddus College in May 2008. Darci Swiger, PA-C joined Premier Dermatology in 2020. She is knowledgeable in all aspects of modern dermatology including diagnosis and treatment of all medical concerns, as well as skin cancer exams and treatments.

Rachel Campbell graduated with a Bachelors of Microbiology from Virginia Tech and then worked in Dermatology for two years prior to attending PA school. She is a board certified Physician Assistant who joined Premier Dermatology in 2025 after earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Emory and Henry University and completing an elective focus in Dermatology. She is passionate about physiology and how overall health manifests on the skin as well as creating dynamic and comprehensive treatment plans.

Which insurance plans do you accept?
We accept a wide range of insurance plans including AARP, Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Golden Rule, Highmark, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Kaiser, Medicare, Optima Health, PHCS Multiplan, Tricare, UMR, and United Healthcare. Please always check with your insurance provider that we are an in-network provider and if a referral is required to see a specialist.
